Which Do You Chose?

I love getting up early and catching the morning sunrise.  It's amazing how different they are from day to day. Sometimes they are gorgeous, like the one I caught in the above photo, and sometimes they are not so bright.  Sort of like life, some days are full of fun and laughter and some days seem to be full of problems.

At the young age of 51, yep I said it, I'm 51!  I've finally reached the place in my life, a few years ago, that I can find beauty in most every day!  Even if my physical body is screaming with pain.  I can find something to take my mind off the negative.  Life can be what we make it folks.  I've had more than my share of pain, sorrow and heartache.  But without these things we can't appreciate the amazing blessings.  It's all in what our perspective is on life.  I chose peace, God, prayer, laughter, smiles, and love!

I've recently had a burning desire to make amends with those that I've had strained relationships.  I want to be able to say, as I take my final breaths in life, I did all I could to make peace with every family member and friend.  We can chose to hold on to the anger, frustration, and negative.  Or we can decide we want more in life.  We are all so very different and if we were the same wouldn't life be boring??  If we can just accept folks for who they are and look for the good in them.   Yes, sometimes, there will be people we simply can't find that peace with but we can still love them.  We don't have to like them to love them.  We just have to look a little deeper to find the good.  But it is there!

One day, I might decide to open up here and share more of my past in hopes of helping someone else.  But that time is not just here.  I've often been told I should write a book about my journey.  God has allowed me, through these difficulties, to be able to use them to help others.  You never know when you'll run across someone else, that's feeling so isolated and alone, that could use a shoulder to lean on that has had the same difficulties.    That's when I feel like life has come full circle.  When we can take our damaged goods and produce beauty and comfort for someone else life has come full circle.

For those of us that face each day with chronic pain, we must not forget that God is still in control.  He wants the best for us.  He never leaves our side nor does He forsake us.  In our darkest moments in life, yes, He's there!  We just have to cry out to Him and He will hear us.  Just don't forget to pay attention at  how He makes His presence known.  It can be in the little thingssuch as in nature.  With a beautiful sunrise or sunset, with a blue bird or a butterfly.  With our pets, family or friends.  Open your heart and mind and you'll find that peace where you least expect it.  But be careful not to allow the little ole enemy to come in and try to steal and destroy your joy.  Tell him to take a hike!  There's no room for this in my home or life!!  It works, yes, it really works if we chose to have Jesus Christ on our side.

Start each day with prayer, thanking Him for the many blessings in our lives, and don't forget to pray for others.  As we start each new day we can chose happiness, peace and joy.  Or we can chose the negative, unhappiness and drudge.  Which do you chose?

As this week starts, I'm heading to my pain specialist.  This is the one place that I allow myself to completely be open and share my pain and struggles.  That's what this doctor specializes in and without sharing all the details he can't help me.  But after I close the door to that office, I move on with the day.  Looking for the best!!!

I hope, as your week begins, that you make the right choices for your life.  Yes, even in our darkest, ugliest moments, we do have a choice.  Chose life and love!!!

She Did What??

Last week I spotted a beautiful groundhog out in my driveway.  I grabbed the camera and upon taking the pictures, I noticed this was obviously a very "pregnant" groundhog! So you're thinking, okay, why is this such a big deal right?

Well, a few days later I found where her home was located.  She has dug quite a nice hole going under my home.  There's a door used to access underneith my mobile home that's right under the deck.  So I began to ask around to find a "humane" trap to catch her.  Well, tomorrow my son was going to bring the trap out.  Too late!!!  She reemerged from her comfy home yesterday morning to roam around. Guess what?  Yep, you've got it!  She's a lot smaller and has obviously had her babies now!!
Now look a little bit closer.....

and now as she stands up...

Notice the evidence of nursing babies? LOL So now she notices the cat in the window.  She figures out she's safe and begins to taunt the cat. In the previous pics, wh…

My Latest Creation "Doves In Flight" Doily

I thoroughly enjoyed crocheting this doily "Doves In Flight".  This doily is approximately 23 in. in diameter.  It's from the Leisure Arts booklet entitled "Touched By Nature".  The doilies are by Delsie Rhoades.  It's seldom you find a booklet where you love each and every doily presented.  I'm looking forward to making every single one of these.  (I'm not connected with Leisure Arts nor Delsie Rhoades.... just a very happy customer).

I gave this doily to my beautiful, loving Mother.

Wonderful Group for Fibro on Facebook

Hello friends, I haven't written in awhile, thanks to the lovely pain that's been trying to get the best of me.  But, thank you Lord, I'm still here and have been blessed with one of the most enjoyable groups I've ever found for Fibromyalgia.  It's called Fellow Travelers on Facebook.  It's so nice to find a group of individuals that can relate to exactly what we face daily.  If you're looking for a wealth of info and a world of good conversation check them out!!
